On Wednesday, a person who is identified as Peer Mehrajudin from Badgam Kasmir, was shot down by CRPF personal. He was traveling in the car in the morning and intensely juped police checkpoint first and later jumped CRPF checkpoint which was guided by CRPF's 141 battalion.
Local political parties like NC(National Conference), PDP (Public democratic party), CPI(M) (Communist Party Of India), and PC (People conference) blamed Army and asked probe on this incident.
Why CRPF has taken strict action and gun down him instead of trying to arrest?
On, 14th February 2019, India had been witnessed the deadliest attack on CRPF jawans in which 40 brave soldiers were martyred. On that day, a convoy of 78 vehicles transporting more than 2,500 Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel from Jammu to Srinagar was traveling on National Highway 44. A local [as many newspapers called civilian ] was driving a car that carrying more than 250 kg explosive material and hit the conveys and had martyred 40 CRPF jawans.
The terrorist was only 22 years old and he had belonged to Pakistan-based militant group Jaish-e-Mohammed. Before this incident, civilian cars would be allowed even when the Army would have to be transported from one place to another, in Kashmir and which was the main failure as they became venerable. Many political parties including congress had criticized the government and question them why they were not able to prevent that attack.
After this attack government and India army decide to take some prevention and one the prevention is whenever the army traveling from one place to another one, civilian movement is baned. Last Wednesday also has similar conditions when conveying of CRPF are passing and Peer Mehrajudin was driving a car in opposite directions and jumped two checkpoints after which CRPF fire in the air to warn him and asked him to stop but he didn't. As learning from past experience CRPF had to shot fire to stop him which hit him on the shoulder and later died as said by CRPF spokesperson.
“A convoy of the Army, at that point in time, was passing through the adjacent road and fearing a sabotage, a CRPF jawan manning this checkpoint fired warning shots. The car was driving in the wrong direction of the road and that was even more alarming. When it didn’t stop, despite the warning shots, the jawan fired at the car and the driver was hit on his left shoulder,"
But Did CRPF have any choice? could CRPF identify his intention or purpose of jumping checkpoints without stopping him? and what if he was carrying explosive and do another Pulwama type suicide attack. The same political parties would have started blaming the government for not preventing such incidents.
Army has to take such action to prevent Pulwama type incidents. Even though parents of killed person [who knows what his intention was] said it was murder done by the army, the question is why he had a need to jump checkpoints?
Correct decision 👍
ReplyDeleteIn fact after some days later they again tried and this time they have explosive material in car. So army have to take preventive steps. https://www.hindustantimes.com/india-news/pulwama-s-60-kg-car-bomb-seized-by-cops-could-be-lashkar-jaish-joint-op/story-H27kv45oXh28DWmFPuJMSI.html
